Ways to Get listed in Google

<!--[if gte mso 9]> Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

There are 3 simple methods (or ways whatever u call it) to getting listed in Google, well the first and last one are guaranteed method for the website listing in Google well u can have try on all the three.

1. Submit your URL To Google .: The first method is to submit your web site via Google's free submit your site form. Just submit your home page and Google's crawler, Googlebot, will crawl the rest.
However, Google does not add all submitted URLs to their index, and there is no guarantee as to when, or if, your site will be indexed.

2. Get Linked From A Site That Google Crawls .: The second method is to get a site that Google already crawls to link to your site. So when Google recrawls the web site, it will find the link to your site and crawl and index it as well. This is Google's preferred method of finding sites to index. To get another site to link to yours, simply look for a site that links to your competitors and ask them to link to yours. You may have to offer a link back to their site in exchange.

3. Submit Your Site To The Yahoo! Directory and The Open Directory Project Index
The third method is to submit your web site to the Open Directory Project index.
As far as I know, this is the only guaranteed method of getting into the Google index.

For more information, visit the How to add a site to the Open Directory page.

Once your site is included in either of these directories, it should appear in Google in about 4 to 8 weeks.

SHUT DOWN ANY PC ON YOUR LAN USING COMMAND PROMPT

This trick will shutdown a selected pc from Your LAN network. You can apply this trick in your office or school.. but i take no responsibilities fro any action. Its just for fun. Here is how to use this trick :

1. Go to Start > Run and type in cmd

2. You will see the command prompt window . Now type in this command line.

shutdown.exe -i

And hit Enter. You will see remote shutdown Window. If you know someone’s IP on a computer in your Local Area network, type in their IP Address after clicking the add button.

3. After entering the IP Address click OK . Now watch the person’s face as their computer shuts down.

Some friends have asked me that they got Access Denied error for remote shutdown. Add the user with the privilege to force a remote shutdown on the computer you are about to Shutdown. To do this go to control panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Settings. Now go to Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment. Double-click on Force shutdown from a remote system in the right pane and Click on Add User or Group. Add the computer that runs the remote shutdown command.

Or you can do this go the computer you are about to Shutdown
a) Go to Start > Run > type in Regedit in the dialog box and hit enter
b) Go to My Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /system/currentcontrolset/control/lsa
c) Find “forceguest” in the right pane Double click on it to modify This entry change the value from “1″ entry to “0″

CHECK ANTI-VIRUS IS WORKING OR NOT

CHECK ANTI-VIRUS IS PROTECTING YOUR PC OR NOT

Open notepad

paste this:

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

Save it as eicar.com

The Anti-Virus should stop you (if it does that means its working).

Don't worry about it. European Institute for Computer Anti-virus Research (EICAR) have got people to program Anti-Virus to recognise this as a threat (even tough it's completely harmless)

Default-hidden shares are

The default-hidden shares are:

  • C$ D$ E$ - Root of each partition. For a Windows NT workstation/W2K/2003/XP Professional computer only members of the Administrators or Backup Operators group can connect to these shared folders. For a Windows NT Server/W2K Server computer, members of the Server Operators group can also connect to these shared folders.

  • ADMIN$ - %SYSTEMROOT% This share is used by the system during any remote administration of a computer. The path of this resource is always the path to the W2K/NT system root (the directory in which W2K/NT is installed usually C:\Winnt and in XP it's C:\Windows).

  • FAX$ - On W2K Server, this used by fax clients in the process of sending a fax. The shared folder temporarily caches files and accesses cover pages stored on the server.

  • IPC$ - Temporary connections between servers using named pipes essential for communication between programs. It is used during remote administration of a computer and when viewing a computer's shared resources. This share can be very dangerous and can be used to extract large amounts of information about your network, even by an anonymous account.

  • NetLogon - This share is used by the Net Logon service of a W2K, 2003 and NT Server computer while processing domain logon requests, and by Pre-W2K computers when running logon scripts.

  • PRINT$ - %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\DRIVERS Used during remote administration of printers.

It is possible to simply remove the share from Server Manager (in NT) or Shared Folders (in W2K/XP/2003) but the problem with this method is that the shares will automatically be recreated when the machine reboots.

You can disable the automatic administrative share creation via Group Policy, but this is a much simpler way:
